Moses Chot Jock

Sudanese Pastor

Moses served in a leadership capacity from age of 13 to young adult from 1989-1999.  From 1999-2001, he began working as an Evangelist in the Presbyterian Church in Punyido Refugees camp. After immigrating to Canada, he became the South Sudanese Pastor at Calgary First Church of the Nazarene in 2011, developed two Bible studies. He became the first South Sudanese ordained pastor for the Church of the Nazarene in Canada in 2017. Moses has completed a Certificate in Health Care Aid in 2010, a Certificate in Christian Foundations in 2012, a Bachelor of Church Ministry from Ambrose University in 2017, and a Master of Arts in Leadership and Ministry from Ambrose University in 2020.

His personal strengths are: leadership skills, building relationships, problem solving, mentoring, and communication. He enjoys reading and playing soccer. Moses would like to learn about other cultures. He is so grateful to God for blessing him with his wife Nyabile who has faithfully supported and serves with him in the ministry, as well as for his four wonderful children who bring him great joy: Khan, Goy, Kuak, and Rachel.
